The Kingdom School Institute is a unique training program that assists you and your school in adopting a strategic, intentional and holistic plan that directly impacts the culture of your community. We are committed to a training paradigm and educational model that prepares our students to enter the world thinking Christianly (2 Cor. 10:5), reasoning with other worldviews (Acts 17), persuading those to follow Christ (Acts 17), and thinking, writing and speaking critically and intelligently.
We fully believe that authentic devotion to the Christian faith and academic excellence are mutually reinforcing. There are not two or three forms of excellence, but rather an ethos that is cultivated throughout every facet of our schools. Faith is not separated from learning but rather integrated intentionally resulting in a distinctive Christian worldview. Scholarship and learning become integral components to the maturation process known as discipleship. Thus, becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, the ultimate objective of the Great Commission (Matt. 26:28-30) is the prize for which we strive—it is the highest form of excellence! It is conceivable that we could produce students with the spiritual depth needed to enter our pluralistic society and not fall prey to empty philosophies, but enter the marketplace God has called them to with confidence, purpose and an eternal perspective.
Written by Dr. Glen Schultz, Kingdom Education: God’s Plan for Educating Future Generations provides the foundation on which the entire Kingdom Education Philosophy is based. Broken down into five sections, each is backed with Scripture emphasizing the role of parents, church and schools in the education of today’s students.
In his two decades of service in Christian education, Larry Taylor has focused on building student servant-leaders. At Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas (pre-K-12; 1,500 students), where Larry serves as head of school, nearly 80% of high school students voluntarily participate in Student Leadership Institute.
Larry Taylor was past-President of the Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools (SBACS) and has co-founded a national training institute for Christian schools called "Becoming a Kingdom School." In addition to Student Leadership Institute and Kingdom School Institute, Larry Taylor has also created the PCA Institute, a nationally recognized and acclaimed training program for school boards, faculty, staff, students and parents. Hundreds of parents annually attend his Kingdom Family training course.
Larry Taylor has been married to Delinda Rose Taylor for over twenty years and has four sons: Bryce, Luke, Zeke and Chas.
